Korea Institute of Science and Technology

The building exhibits Japanese Brutalist tendencies. In particular earlier designs by Kenzo Tanke seem to have inspired Geun, who had studied architecture in Japan. Sculptural exposed concrete dominate the sculptural appearance of the building.

Cinema Rossiya

The building features a cantilevered waffle slab structure similar to Kenzo Tange’s Kagawa Prefectural Gymnasium. However here it is being utilized twice to create a wing-like effect.

Apartment Building

The building combines a mix of raw materials. The use of brick for the infill and concrete for load bearing elements structures the façade. The top segment reveals a more constructivist sensibility.
