A message in a bottle from a heartbroken dog owner in Wirral appears to have travelled hundreds of miles across the North Sea before being washed up in Germany.
It was found by a volunteer ranger from the Wadden Sea conservation station (Schutzstation Wattenmeer) on the north-west German coast.
The volunteer posted an appeal on the group's Facebook page for any information about the curious find. The appeal has had nearly 900 "shares" since it was posted.
The message in the bottle appears to be a "letter" from a grieving owner or family member to their dead Border Terrier dog, Dylan.
